OUR WEDDING // ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

The wedding is fast approaching, 4 weeks exactly today, and Jason and I met up with our amazing photographer for a pre-venue visit. We met up to discuss timings and where to shoot certain photos, and had planned to do a little mini-shoot...we ended up taking 1200 photos! More of a maxi shoot. Anyway here are the photos, enjoy!  And please check out Rebecca's blog.

Rebecca was being so funny here, 'look at me', 'look at each other', 'look at me again'!

I love photos in this haze, in the photography world this is apparently called the 'golden hour'. Perfect!

The balloon would not persist!

And my favourite.. the willow tree shot!

Hope you enjoyed looking through this, this is the first time I've ever had a professional photo-shoot and it was so lovely doing it with Jason! Rebecca made us feel so relaxed and at ease it didn't even feel like we were being captured. This has got me be mega mega excited for the wedding day now. We really enjoyed this and it was only a Wednesday evening after work! I am so buzzing to see what these will look like when we are in our wedding gear on the happiest day of our lives. Surreal.

ZOEVA BRUSHES

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted for so long, i've been mega busy with degree, wedding prep and moving house! But as of today I have finished my fourth year! So from now on it's just work, wedding prep, house prep and blogging...oh and maybe some loosing weight in there too, gotta fit into that dress.

By the way guys, wedding is on July the 10th, which means 33 days which will go past in a flash and 34 until I jet off to the maldives!!!!! AHH!

Anyway, on with today's blog. My review of the Zoeva brushes.

At first glance these little beauties look just like mac brushes, and they really are fantastic dupes! I looked on their website (I like in the UK so can therefore only purchase online), and they have pretty much every single mac brush but in their version. In my opinion these are just as good if not better than mac brushes, and so much more affordable.

Everyone always goes on about the mac 217 brush so the first brush I ordered had to be the famous Zoeva alternative, 221 deluxe soft crease. It is the exact dupe of the mac 217. I use this every day in my crease and it is the perfect size for blending or applying a slightly darker matte crease colour. I cannot recommend this enough. This is 6.50 euros which converts to £5.29. Bargain https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/221-luxe-soft-crease/a-8000363/

Next I wanted a brush that works the crease but is smaller to apply darker colours. If I was to apply  a darker colour with the 221 or a blending brush I would like I'd been punched! The Zoeva 231 petit crease brush, which is also 6.50 euros, is the perfect one! https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/231-petit-crease/a-8000131/

Now for my favourite Zoeva brush- actually my favourite EVER brush...The 142 concealer buffer, 7.50 euros or £6.09. This little beauty is the perfect brush for everyday blending of concealer under the eyes or in highlighted areas. When i'm getting ready for work, a beauty blender isn't exactly a quick fix for blending concealer. This is the perfect alternative! I absolutely love it. https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/142-concealer-buffer/a-8000120/

Finally, I wanted a really big and fluffy, but tapered contouring brush. I had a stab in the dark and ordered the 101 luxe face definer. It seems a little pricey at 17.50 euros (£14.22), but I was still really happy when it came. The 101 is so fluffy! The tapered end contours the little areas you need to, but can also be used as a big blush brush. https://www.zoeva-shop.de/en/101-luxe-face-definer/a-8000104/

I would definitely recomend looking into Zoeva brushes if like me, you can't stretch to the mac price. They are affordable, have a huge variety and are, in my opinion, some of the best quality brushes I have tried! I think when you know you've spent lots on a brush, your mind automatically tells you it's the best brush in the world. In reality, it's no better than the ones you paid half the price for. Always look around for dupes, and the Zoeva brushes mentioned are perfect dupes!
